Since 1st January 2015, Powernext is a part of the EEX Group. In 2016, Powernext cooperates with two companies in order to extend its offering : the Austrian operator CEGH Hub and the former gas exchange Gaspoint Nordic.

EEX Group

In 2015, Powernext and the European Energy Exchange (EEX) launch the PEGAS cooperation as a response to the trading participants need for a consolidation among the trading platforms.

Powernext is now part of the EEX Group. EEX Group provides the central market platform for energy, energy related and commodity products and enables access to a network of over 350 trading participants. The offering of the group includes contracts for Energy, Environmentals, Freight, Metals and Agriculturals listed at the European Energy Exchange, EPEX SPOT, Powernext, Cleartrade, Gaspoint Nordic and Nodal Exchange. Clearing and settlement of transactions concluded or registered on the exchanges is provided by the central clearing house European Commodity Clearing. EEX is part of Deutsche Börse Group.



Cooperation with CEGH

The Central European Gas Hub (CEGH), located in Vienna, Austria, is the leading hub for trading gas between East and West. Providing an excellent position for growth in the Central Eastern European (CEE) region. Via a common joint venture, CEGH (49%) and Powernext (51%) offer trading in the CEE region via the PEGAS Platform.

Cooperation with Gaspoint Nordic

On 17 November 2016, Powernext and Gaspoint Nordic successfully launched spot and futures contracts for the Danish hub ETF on the PEGAS platform. This completes the cooperation between the two companies that started in July 2016, when Powernext acquired 100% of Gaspoint Nordic from its two former shareholders, EEX AG and
